Privacy Policy

I’m Done Drinking (the “App”) is developed by Gargoyle Development, LLC (Gothic Software) (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. This policy applies to the App, our backend API and website at imdonedrinking.com.

Information We Collect

Account data: email address, password hash (never the plain password).
Profile & app data: quit date/time; drink templates and per‑day amounts; preferences (theme, settings); optional AI tone; optional motivation usage counters.
Purchase data: via RevenueCat (product identifiers, transaction receipts, entitlement status). We do not receive full payment card details.
Push notifications: OneSignal device push token and delivery metrics if you enable notifications.
Diagnostics & analytics: event logs in our API; Application Insights (performance/telemetry); Firebase Analytics (aggregated usage). May include device info, timestamps, and coarse location (derived from IP).
Support communications: emails you send to support.

How We Use Information

Provide core features (quit counter, stats, syncing, notifications).
Process purchases and manage Premium access via RevenueCat.
Send optional motivation messages and reminders (if enabled).
Monitor reliability, debug issues, and prevent abuse.
Comply with legal obligations.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the App:

Microsoft Azure (App Service, Functions, SQL, Key Vault) — hosting and storage.
RevenueCat — in‑app purchases and subscription management.
OneSignal — push notifications.
Firebase Analytics — aggregated usage analytics in the iOS app.
SendGrid — transactional email (account emails).

Data Retention

We keep your account and app data while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see “Your Choices”). Server logs and analytics may be retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Security

We use industry‑standard measures including transit encryption (HTTPS), authentication, access controls, and secret management via Azure Key Vault. No method is 100% secure.

Your Choices & Rights

Access & update: edit your data in the App.
Notifications: enable/disable push notifications in your device settings and inside the App.
Account deletion: you can request deletion in‑app or by contacting us. In‑app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account (or use the API endpoint). We’ll soft‑delete immediately and process permanent deletion within a reasonable period.
AI messages: you control tone and usage limits; free tier has daily caps.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International Use

We operate in the United States. By using the App, you understand your data may be processed in the U.S. and other locations where our providers operate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide in‑app or website notice.
